Important Notice Regarding Your YES Host Partner Application
Dear Host Partner Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in becoming a YES Host Partner. We value your commitment to creating meaningful work opportunities for South Africa’s youth and advancing inclusive economic participation through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.
Host Partners play a critical role in the YES ecosystem. These are smaller or younger organizations that support our Implementation Partners (IPs) by expanding capacity through a host network aligned with strategic, high-impact sectors. Host Partners are responsible for placing youth in 12-month quality work experiences, under the oversight and guidance of YES and its IPs.
Approved Host Partners are eligible to receive youth placement allocations from YES, contributing directly to youth employability, sector transformation, and long-term socioeconomic impact.

Sector Eligibility
We are currently accepting applications exclusively for opportunities within the Green Economy, Digital and Tourism sectors. All youth placements must fall strictly within these designated sectors. Applications proposing placements in sectors outside of these areas will not be considered at this time.
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for consideration, all applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Ability to place a minimum of 20 youth within their organization.
- Absorption (permanent employment) capability of at least 20% of youth at the end of the programme.
- Must be SARS Tax compliant, with a valid tax clearance certificate and CIPC certificate.
- Must have COIDA and all relevant insurances in place.
- Have been operational for a minimum of three (3) years at the time of application.
- Financial performance relating to revenue, EBITA as well as debt to equity ratios will be considered.
- Please note that the YES programme is not a learnership. Youth are to be placed on a 12-month fixed term contract during their 12-month opportunity where they are gaining practical and quality work experience.
Direct Hosting Requirements
Only entities that directly host youth within their own organizations will be eligible. The use of third-party host networks or external placement partners is not permitted under this application process.
