Welcome

Thank you for your interest in our project and for taking time to complete this registration form.

We are currently working on an innovative research project with Impact on Urban Health to understand more about people’s belief models when it comes to their healthcare and the institutions that provide healthcare.

We are looking to recruit 20 people (or households) from Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority backgrounds to participate in a fun and interactive online research project between November and December 2023. We would like to spend 2-4 weeks getting to know you and your everyday home life a little better.
  1. To begin, we will meet with you (virtually) for a short interview to get to know you better.
  2. Then we will set you up on a mobile phone application similar to WhatsApp (we can provide you with a Smartphone for the duration of the project if you need one), where you can send us text messages, videos and photos.
  3. During the 2-4 weeks, we will keep in touch with you using this App and ask you to update us at different points throughout your day so that we can learn more about your everyday home life and environment.
  4. We will ask you specific questions to reply to daily using text, a photo or a video. Replying to a few messages every day will take less than an hour.
  5. We will also give you a device to install in your home that will measure noise levels, carbon monoxide and pollution to see how these might be affecting your health and well-being.
  6. At the end of the three weeks, we will meet with you again to hear about your experience of being part of this research.

This is a paid opportunity. Participants will receive up to £500 for their time participating in the research.

We encourage all residents of Southwark and Lambeth to register. We are particularly interested in individuals who are healthcare workers.

This registration form will take less than 3 minutes to complete.

As a participant in the research project, you will be expected to:
  • Take part in 2 interviews with the ClearView research team - one at the beginning (November 2023) of the project and one at the end of it (November/December 2023)
  • Commit 5-10 minutes daily for 2-4 weeks in November -December 2023 to complete tasks and interact with the ClearView research team via a secure online platform.
  • If you need a device, we can provide you with a phone during the course of this project, and you will be expected to return the phone after the research project finishes.

The deadline to apply is Friday 10th November 2023 at 11.59pm. Successful applicants will be informed by the first week of November and further details as to the first interview will be provided.

There are limited spaces available, and we want to ensure that the group includes people with different experiences. As such, places will be offered to those who fulfil these criteria on a first-come, first-served basis. You will receive confirmation of your selection by text and, or email.

Your answers will be anonymised and only accessible to the ClearView research team. Any personal information we collect from you:

1) will NOT be shared with any other organisation

2) will be kept confidential and securely per our GDPR and Data Protection Act responsibilities.

CVR is also part of the MRS company partnership scheme.
